Shackleton: Death or Glory
In January 2013 polar explorer Tim Jarvis set out to complete the ‘Shackleton Double' - an authentic recreation of the epic journey undertaken by Sir Ernest Shackleton nearly 100 years after his ship sank and his 27 man crew were marooned in Antarctica. To save his men, Shackleton made a gruelling 800 mile sea voyage across the Southern Ocean, followed by a non-stop traverse of the crevasse-laden and previously uncharted glaciers of South Georgia. This is the journey Tim set out to recreate. Tim invited adventure cameraman Ed Wardle to document every step of his attempt. Witness what it takes to film the world's most extreme expedition, and what happens when making a film becomes a fight for survival.
