SAS: Special Forces Heroes
Network Premiere Series, Sundays from 3rd May, 9.00pm
Over the last century, Britain's Special Forces have undertaken a whole host of operations with unequalled skill, secrecy and bravery. From the Cockleshell Heroes daring 1942 raid deep into Nazi-occupied France to the dangerous sorties into enemy territory during the Gulf wars, their actions have epitomized heroism. Based on the book by Lord Ashcroft, SAS: Special Forces Heroes uses interviews, re-enactments and graphics to reveal four action-packed tales, focusing on missions ranging from Sierra Leone, to Oman, to the infamous Iranian Embassy siege, illustrating key tactics that a crack-force unit relied on to fulfill their orders.
