WHALE WARS: SEASON SEVEN, Series Returns Friday, January 2, at 8 PM (ET/PT)

It's not about one man; it's about the lives of whales. Captain Paul Watson, founder of direct-action environmental organization the Sea Shepherds, has been the strategic leader behind many missions into the depths of the Antarctic to save the lives of majestic whales. Gripping scenes from these high-stakes journeys have been documented in Animal Planet's Emmy®-nominated series WHALE WARS. As the crew embarks on its 10th Antarctic campaign, Watson must completely hand over the reins to youthful Sea Shepherd veteran Peter Hammarstedt for the first time in history as Watson is under legal siege.

ALASKA: BATTLE ON THE BAY, Series Premieres Thursday, January 8, at 10 PM (ET/PT)

In the desolate outreaches of Bristol Bay, Alaska, the most competitive fishing season on Earth takes place throughout four short weeks. ALASKA: BATTLE ON THE BAY submerges viewers within a high-stakes fishing drama as 1,800 captains and their crews draw the battle lines to help save Alaska's ecosystem by reeling in a massive sockeye salmon payday. With potential fortune swimming just below the surface, five captains prepare to battle the unforgiving bay, the battering ram of boats jockeying for position and the law, which tightly regulates fishing with police boats and recon helicopters.

TREEHOUSE MASTERS: SEASON THREE, Series Returns Friday, January 9, at 10 PM (ET/PT)

Often described as a tree whisperer by his clients, colleagues and contemporaries, Pete Nelson dedicates himself to granting people's dreams of turning peaceful nooks in nature into the ultimate escapes. In TREEHOUSE MASTERS, Nelson and his team execute the most outrageous treehouses designed to delight every whimsy, form and function. Whether he's contriving magnificent multi-bedroom treehouses with state-of-the-art kitchens and bathrooms or rendering simpler, peaceful one-room escapes, Nelson always goes out on a limb to create the most breathtaking treehouses with spectacular vistas.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN BOUNTY HUNTERS: SEASON TWO, Series Returns Sunday, January 11, at 9 PM (ET/PT)

The Rocky Mountains, with more than 3,000 miles of dense forests and rocky peaks, provide the perfect hideaway for fugitives on the run from the law. In ROCKY MOUNTAIN BOUNTY HUNTERS, two teams of elite fugitive retrieval agents are in hot pursuit of armed and unpredictable delinquents who've skipped bail and prefer the treacherous mountainous terrain than facing justice behind bars. Returning for a second season with 10 new episodes, ROCKY MOUNTAIN BOUNTY HUNTERS follows professional bounty-hunter pairs Clint and Dayson in Colorado and Rob and "Animal" in Montana as they patrol the harsh environment of the scenic yet deadly Rockies.

RUGGED JUSTICE, Series Premieres Sunday, January 18, at 8 PM (ET/PT)

In the vast terrain of Washington State, Department of Fish and Wildlife police officers are on the front lines Patrolling the city, coast and desert, this elite force protects both wildlife and people. RUGGED JUSTICE follows the officers of Washington State's Department of Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement Program as they police the Evergreen State's unforgiving mountain terrains, twisted back roads and densely populated coastal areas. No matter the danger, these officers tirelessly enforce the law.

PUPPY BOWL XI, World Premiere Sunday, February 1, from 3 - 5 PM (ET/PT)

Animal Planet's asking the big question that's provoking passionate debate as PUPPY BOWL XI approaches - Ruff or Fluff? It's going to be 'pawsitively pawsome' when America gets in on the Team Ruff versus Team Fluff rivalry.The two sides battle it out on the gridiron for the title of MVP (Most Valuable Puppy) during Animal Planet's 11th annual PUPPY BOWL, which features live competitive scoring for the very first time in PUPPY BOWL history.

Animal Planet's entertaining blend of animal-centric programming helped it become one of the fastest-growing new cable television networks ever. It now reaches more than 94 million households (Nielsen Universe Estimate, July 2013).

RESEARCH  

Animal Planet ended the 2014 ranked in the top 20 among all ad-supported cable networks based on M25-54 delivery.  This marks the third consecutive year that Animal Planet achieved this feat.

2014 ratings highlights for the network included PUPPY BOWL X, which became the most-watched PUPPY BOWL ever with 13.5 million viewers, and RIVER MONSTERS, which returned in April with its most-watched season premiere ever, reeling in 1.7M P2+ viewers.

Additionally, In 2014, five Animal Planet series delivered at least 1M P2+ viewers, including RIVER MONSTERS, TREEHOUSE MASTERS, FINDING BIGFOOT, PIT BULLS & PAROLEES, WILD WEST ALASKA, BLOOD LAKE: ATTACK OF THE KILLER LAMPREYS and PUPPY BOWL X.

COMMERCE

Building on the success of the network, Animal Planet consumer products continue to grow having received the U.S. Corporate Brand of the Year Award from the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association (LIMA) in 2011. Animal Planet merchandise reaches consumers through its unique products including kids' toys, pet products and lifestyle goods. Highlighted by a rapidly growing toy line via a 14-year partnership with Toys "R" Us® and an extensive line of pet essentials, the network's values are translated into product offerings at retailers nationwide. Additionally, the e-commerce shopping destination, AnimalPlanetStore.com provides fans with merchandise inspired by their favorite on-air series. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of branded merchandise goes to the principle partners of R.O.A.R. (Reach Out. Act. Respond.), dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our communities and in the wild. 

R.O.A.R. (Reach Out. Act. Respond)

Animal Planet has partnered with leading animal organizations through R.O.A.R (Reach Out. Act. Respond.) to inspire viewers to take action and be a voice for animals. The campaign aligns Animal Planet with a powerful roster of leading animal and environmental organizations.

During 2014's R.O.A.R annual matching campaign to raise funds for seven participating R.O.A.R. partners, the partners combined for more than 760 unique donors and raised more than $270,000 thanks to the generous donations from Discovery Consumer Products. In total, since the launch of the annual matching campaign, R.O.A.R. has surpassed $1.25-million in total donations, including matching funds, consumer donations and proceeds from the sale of Animal Planet consumer products.
