TELEVISION SERIES/SPECIALS: The following series/specials reflect Animal Planet's top series and specials for Spring 2014:

ICE LAKE REBELS, Series Premieres Sunday, July 27, at 10 PM (ET/PT)

The freeze and thaw periods are the two most deadly times of the year on Great Slave Lake among Canada's Northwest Territories. This series follows a handful of survivalists as they hunt for food, drill for water, trade for necessities and protect their turf. It's a lawless frozen lake of ultra-libertarians forced together during brutal winters. Choosing another kind of lifestyle, these rebels have bid farewell to living life the conventional way on land and traded it in for floating homes and houseboats... Since they don't live on land, they don't pay taxes, and, therefore, no one polices them. The very things that we take for granted - from opening the front door, to walking your pet, to shopping for groceries and supplies - are incredibly difficult to navigate. As one rebel says, "It's not man you have to worry about; it's woman" - Mother Nature.

REDWOOD KINGS, Series Premieres Friday, August 1, at 9 PM (ET/PT)

REDWOOD KINGS uncovers the artistry that goes into turning ancient reclaimed redwood trees into hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind, creative works of art. Twin brothers and tree titans Ron and John Daniels work side-by-side at family-owned, 15-year-old theming company, Daniels Wood Land, creating carvings of animated characters, feature-film and theme park facades, and even custom play houses and treehouses! It isn't all a forest fairy tale; however, things can turn splintery when "little" brother Ron to turns off the chainsaw and reins in John "the carving cowboy." Keeping every project on schedule and on budget is no easy task, but Davis' crew of 40 carpenters, designers, artists and engineers pull off jaw-dropping specimens of art. To a novice, it's hard to believe their amazing handy-work and painstakingly detailed pieces are actually made of wood.

GATOR BOYS, Series Returns Sunday, August 3, at 7 PM (ET/PT)

GATOR BOYS follows the men and women of Gator Boys Alligator Rescue as they risk life and limb to capture wild alligators using their bare hands and swim with the toothy creatures unprotected in the Florida waters. Frontrunners Paul Bedard and Jimmy Riffle do it all for the love of gators and started the rescue with the goal of getting nuisance alligators out of harm's way before they are captured and killed by other trappers who profit from harvesting the animals. In this new season, the GATOR BOYS are making another astonishing addition to their tight-knit team, and the tale of a giant gator known as "Moby Dick" may have everyone packing for a return trip to Mississippi.

TOO CUTE! PINT SIZED, Series Returns Saturday, August 16, at 10 PM (ET/PT)

TOO CUTE! PINT SIZED is a half-hour edition of TOO CUTE! Two adorable litters, two fascinating breeds and one amazing story of animals coming of age... PINT SIZED.

Animal Planet's entertaining blend of animal-centric programming helped it become one of the fastest-growing new cable television networks ever. It now reaches more than 94 million households (Nielsen Universe Estimate, July 2013).

Animal Planet ended the second quarter of 2014 ranked number 19 among all ad-supported cable networks based on M25-54 delivery.  This marks six consecutive quarters as a top-20 network among M25-54.

Q2 ratings were driven by a successful season of RIVER MONSTERS, which returned in April with its most-watched season premiere ever. The two-hour opener "Amazon Apocalypse" caught 1.7M P2+ viewers, 1.2M HH and 915K P25-54. It was immediately followed by Animal Planet's first-ever live after show, RIVER MONSTERS: LIVE WITH JEREMY WADE, which drew in a strong 1M P2+ viewers. In total, the sixth season of the series delivered 1.6 M P2+ viewers across all premieres in Q2.

This continues a stellar 2014 for Animal Planet, which has seen five programs deliver at least 1M P2+ viewers, including RIVER MONSTERS, TREEHOUSE MASTERS, FINDING BIGFOOT, BLOOD LAKE: ATTACK OF THE KILLER LAMPREYS and PUPPY BOWL X.

This follows Animal Planet's record-breaking 2013, which saw the network achieve its best year ever in both prime and total day among P2+ viewers (711K, 457K), HH (510K, 351K), P25-54 (310K, 191K), P18-49 (287K, 185K) and M18-49 (149K, 93K).
