Kaliel Roberts
Senior Vice President, Product and Technology
Kaliel Roberts serves as the Senior Vice President of Product and Technology across Discovery Communications’ Digital Media division. In this role, Roberts leads the company’s technology efforts across web, mobile, OTT, game consoles and other emerging platforms for Discovery’s U.S. TV networks, as well as Discovery Digital Networks, Discovery’s web native video arm.
Roberts joined Discovery in 2013 as Vice President of Product and Technology across Discovery Digital Networks. Prior to joining Discovery, Roberts was a Senior Advisor at Virgin Investments, as well as Director of Product Management at Yahoo! Video. An engineer by training, Roberts also held positions at CNET, Time Warner and Current Media. Among her many accomplishments, Roberts created one of the first UGC video upload experiences during her time with Current Media and built Yahoo!’s highly successful video player.
Roberts holds a B.A. from Cornell University and is based in Discovery Digital Networks’ San Francisco office.
