DISCOVERY CHANNEL DELIVERS HIGHEST RATED SHARK WEEK ON RECORD IN BOTH PRIME TIME AND TOTAL DAY

Shark After Dark with Filmmaker Eli Roth as Host Grabs Highest Ratings in Series History; Naked and Afraid XL Sunday Premiere #1 for the Week in Persons 25-54 on Cable

Discovery's SHARK WEEK 2015 was the highest-rated SHARK WEEK in the event's 28 year history in Prime Time in Persons 25-54, Women 25-54/18-49.  It was also the highest-rated SHARK WEEK on record in Total Day in Persons/Men Women 25-54, Persons/Women 18-49,  Women 18-34, Persons 6-11 and Total Viewers P2+ from July 5-11 in L+3. 

Additionally, the week (July 6-12) was the highest-rated week on record for Discovery Channel in Prime Time in Persons/Women 25-54, Persons/Women 18-49 and Persons /Women 18-34.  In Total Day, Discovery had its highest-rated week ever in Persons/Men/Women 25-54, Persons/Men/Women 18-49, Persons/Women 18-34, Persons 6-11 and Total Viewers P2+.

Shark After Dark, SHARK WEEK'S late-night talk show, hosted by filmmaker Eli Roth, Grabbed its Highest Ratings in the history of the series (this is the third year.) The series was up double digits vs. 2014 in Persons 25-54 (13% vs. 2014) and had its best ratings on record in Persons/Men/Women 25-54, Persons/Women 18-49, Women 18-34 and Total Viewers P2+. Shark After Dark also ranked #1 in its time period on cable across Persons/Men/Women 25-54.

Additionally, Naked & Afraid XL premiered Sun. July 12 at 10 PM and earned a 2.27 rating in Persons 25-54 and averaged 3.77M Total Viewers P2+ in L+3.  It was the #1 basic cable telecast for the week in Persons 25-54 and Discovery Channel's second highest rated new series debut.

Driven by SHARK WEEK and the premiere of Naked & Afraid XL Discovery was the #1 network in all of television during Prime Time, including broadcast and cable, in both Persons and Men 18-34, no exclusions, for the week. Discovery dominated cable Prime for the week and was #1 in Total Viewers P2+ for the week (July 6-12), Persons/Men Women 25-54, Persons/Men Women  18-49 and Persons/Men Women  18-34.  In Total Day for the week, Discovery was cable's #1 network in Total Day across Persons/Men/Women 25-54 and Persons /Women 18-49.
