Ed Hersh
SVP, Content Strategy - Military Channel
Since joining Discovery in 2009, Hersh has served as SVP of Strategic Planning for Investigation Discovery, and later, added Military Channel and Planet Green to his portfolio. Prior to joining Discovery, Hersh was founder and Chief Creative Officer of StoryCentric LLC, a New York‐based media and content creation consulting company. He founded the firm after seven years at Court TV (now truTV), most recently as Executive Vice‐President, Current Programming and Specials, where he was the executive in charge of the creative direction, execution and production of the network's primetime original non‐fiction series and specials. Before Court TV, Hersh was Vice President, Documentary Programming at A&E. His cable television career followed more than 16 years of senior production roles at ABC News, where his work was awarded with two Columbia‐duPont Awards and an Emmy Award, among other honors.
