Henry S. Schleiff spearheads the development, production, scheduling, research, marketing, communications and online efforts for Investigation Discovery (ID), Military Channel and Destination America.  As president and general manager, Schleiff has direct responsibility for driving the revenue, ratings and brand of each network.  Under Schleiff's leadership, America's leading investigation network, ID, has been one of the fastest growing cable networks for women and is now available in over 77 million households.  Added to Schleiff's executive responsibility are Military Channel and Destination America. Military Channel, which is available in 57 million households, explores the full spectrum of the human drama, courage and patriotism intrinsic to our fight for freedom throughout history.  Destination America is the television network devoted to celebrating the people, places, and stories of the United States and is available to nearly 60 million homes.

Previously, Schleiff was President and Chief Executive Officer of Crown Media Holdings, Inc., owner and operator of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel, which he joined in October, 2006.  Under his leadership, Hallmark Channel became one of the best performing cable channels in the industry, enjoying significant growth and success across the board in distribution, ratings and revenue, leading to record profits.  The 24-hour network grew in just two years by 16 million subscribers to reach a national audience of over 86 million subscribers and consistently ranking in the top 10 in Prime Time, Total Day and key demographics of women and adults 25-54.

From 1999 to 2006, Schleiff was the chairman and chief executive officer of Court TV, where he was responsible for the network's rise from a base of 30 million homes to more than 85 million U.S. subscribers and growth in advertising sales revenue at a compound rate of 57% per year.  Under his leadership, Court TV became a primetime ratings powerhouse known for innovative industry and consumer marketing campaigns.  Before joining Court TV, Schleiff held executive positions at Home Box Office, Inc., Viacom, Inc., and Studios USA

Schleiff is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and The University of Pennsylvania School of Law.  He serves as vice chairman of the board of directors of the IRTS and as a member of the board of directors of the International Council, The Creative Coalition, The Cable Center, The American Museum of the Moving Image, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, as well as the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and various other charitable and philanthropic organizations.
