DIY Series Features Celebrity Appearances by Josh Groban, Blair Underwood, Shanice, Carla Hall and Ben Ford


Los Angeles, CA – OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and P&G announced today the fourth season of the Emmy-nominated daytime DIY series “Home Made Simple” premiering Saturday, November 1 at 9:00 a.m. ET/PT.  

This season, host Soleil Moon Frye and her team of lifestyle experts will be joined by celebrity guests including singer-songwriter Josh Groban, actor Blair Underwood, 90’s pop singer Shanice (OWN’s “Flex & Shanice,”), television host Carla Hall (“The Chew”) and popular chef Ben Ford.

On the season premiere episode celebrity chef and co-host of ABC’s “The Chew” Carla Hall shows the children of a foster youth advocate and non-profit leader cooking techniques for creating the perfect chicken dish and Soleil and the team transform the family’s garage into an inviting homework area and gathering place for the kids, as well as a proper workspace for the mom’s charity work.  On  another, singer-songwriter Josh Groban works with Soleil and her team to surprise a tireless volunteer who raises funds to promote arts education in schools with an updated living room perfect for hosting fundraising events while chef Ben Ford shares simple and delicious party food ideas.  Also during the season actor Blair Underwood and the team honor a hard-working single mom who recently earned her Masters degree and inspired her daughter to attend college with a new dual-purpose art room and guest room space to both fulfill her passion for painting and provide a welcoming bedroom for her daughter. Finally, 90’s pop singer Shanice helps whip up her favorite family lasagna recipe for a dedicated adoption advocate and mom of ten and Soleil and her team help transform the kitchen, dining and laundry room areas to create a more manageable living space and for the first time ever, a space large enough for the entire family to sit down together for meals.

Additional regular experts featured this season include designers Kenneth Wingard, Kim Myles, Nicole Gibbons and Jinnie Choi; carpenters Amy Devers and David Leon and chefs Martita Jara, Jesse Brune and Ronnie Woo.
