Bear is back to battle more extreme environments, but this time, he's brought a friend along. Actor Will Ferrell (from the movie Land of the Lost) is Bear's charge in MEN VS. WILD: WILL FERRELL SPECIAL. Bear takes Will through the paces of real life survival in the ice-bound mountain and glacier ranges in Sweden's far north, armed with only the most basic survival equipment. Hollywood funnyman Will Ferrell is hanging up his comedy slacks and venturing into the wild frontiers of Mother Nature. Who better to give the guided tour than survival expert Bear Grylls himself? Over a punishing 48 hours, Will gamely takes on numerous physically challenging skills without ever losing his infectious sense of humour. Together, Bear and Will tandem-abseil off a helicopter, rappel off a hundred-foot rock and ice cliff face, battle their way through deep snowdrifts, build a shelter to brave the sub-zero temperatures, and navigate their way through the inside of an ice waterfall.
Follow the unlikely duo as they set traps for small rodents and make snow shoes from saplings, drink their own urine, and snack on reindeer eyeballs.
