Riddle of the Rays
Stingrays - huge, black, ominous - they are known as the aliens of the deep. Every year at the same time, beneath the towering volcanic cliffs of the islands off the coast of New Zealand, they gather in a gigantic underwater cave.What drives these magical creatures to this remote location and what they are doing inside the cave has been a mystery.
This August, the Discovery Channel investigates this strange phenomenon with the premiere program RIDDLE OF THE RAYS. Airing as part of WILD DISCOVERY, RIDDLE OF THE RAYS premieres Wednesday, August 22 from 19:00 to 20:00 (Beijing Time) and encores the following day at 11:00.
