SURVIVORMAN LES STROUD IS BACK TO TOUGH IT OUT IN THE WILD
- Tune in this month for more challenges and adventures in the great outdoors -

Les Stroud's idea of a nature outing is probably a little different from what you might have in mind: he takes off alone and heads to a punishing corner in the back of beyond with nothing but a few cameras to document his (often miserable) experiences. This month, on a brand new season of SURVIVORMAN, Les plunges into the wilderness with no food, no shelter, and no fresh water - one man alone in the wild with only his wits and stamina to sustain him. From the untamed depths of the Amazon to the rugged coastlines of Alaska, join Les as he puts his skills to the ultimate test as he explores some of Earth's most remote and challenging places.

In each episode of SURVIVORMAN, filmmaker and naturalist Les strands himself in a remote location with little more than the clothes on his back, and must face seemingly insurmountable obstacles to survive in these breathtakingly beautiful but inhospitable locations. Completely solo and equipped with just his rugged determination and intuition, Les must also lug around 50 kg worth of camera gear to document his journey in nature's harshest terrains! For seven days, SURVIVORMAN Les will have to stretch his mettle, will, and ingenuity to the fullest to survive in some of the most dangerous places on Earth.

Be it the scorching red sands of the Kalahari or the extreme winter temperatures of the wilds in Labrador, Les takes living off the land to the extreme. Does it get easier the second time round? Tune in to find out.

SURVIVORMAN episode descriptions:

Amazon
The phrase "It's a jungle out there" takes on a whole new meaning when Les pays a visit to one of the densest, deepest parts of the Amazon.

African Plains
The plains of South Africa conjure up images of beauty - and danger. And it is here that Les lands for an arid adventure that would make even the most seasoned safari traveller sweat.

Kalahari
Just when you think it can't get any hotter, Les dips his toes into the scorching sands of the Kalahari - one of the most extreme climates on earth.

Labrador
In this episode, Les will need to rely on seven Inuit sled dogs - Labrador Huskies - to pull his dogsled through the wilds of Labrador during one of the most dangerous times of the year. Les discovers that dog food can be quite delicious!

South Pacific
Les demonstrates survival in the Cook Islands using SCUBA gear, a ship wreck, and salvaged articles.

Alaska
At this time of year, there's only about four hours of twilight meaning that Mother Nature can play tricks with your bodily clock. Les needs to survive amidst black bears using a fire piston and scrounging food from the sea.
