Deadly 60 S1

Image 1 / 10

From tiger sharks to giant centipedes, funnel web spiders to the golden poison frog; wildlife presenter, Steve Backshall's latest adventure, ‘Deadly 60' is a race against time to find the creatures most people spend a lifetime avoiding. Travelling across six continents over a period of six months, Steve searches through trees, deserts, swamps and seas in his bid to find the 60 deadliest creatures on the planet.

On his travels, Steve encounters a whole host of animals with a wide variety of appearances. Take the hippopotamus - this friendly looking animal kills more humans in South Africa than any other and despite its stocky shape and short legs, the hippo can easily outrun a human. From smaller predators such as red back spiders and giant venomous centipedes, to larger specimens, including salt water crocodiles and great white sharks; Steve's journey proves that when it comes to the battle for survival, size doesn't matter.
