Marinella Soldi is President and Managing Director, Discovery Networks Southern Europe, a division of Discovery Communications, the #1 pay-TV programmer in the world.
Based in Discovery Networks Southern Europe's headquarters in Milan, Soldi is responsible for overseeing the management of Southern Europe's 19 factual and lifestyle entertainment brands, reaching 232 million cumulative subscribers in nine countries and territories.
Before joining Discovery, Soldi worked nine years as an executive coach for several leading international brands in the technology and media sectors. She founded her consultancy Soldi Coaching/Glitz in 2003. Prior to her career in coaching, she spent five years in senior roles at MTV Networks Europe, including Senior Vice President Strategic Development in London and General Manager, MTV Italy in Milan. She began her career at McKinsey Company working as a strategy consultant for three years in London and Italy.
Soldi holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from The London School of Economics and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
