For the first time in HD, Discovery HD Showcase takes viewers behind the scenes with ‘Revealed' a captivating series which explores the logistical challenges officials face when millions of religious followers, from across the globe, come together in celebration of their religion. The series looks at various annual religious celebrations, such as the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, the birth place of Islam and the site of mankind's greatest religious gatherings. And follows Islam's 1.2 billion pilgrims, who each year answer the call to pilgrimage and embark on a journey to the Hajj in an act of devotion. Also in the series, we visit the holiest city in Hinduism; India's Varanasi and witness the spiritual pilgrimage Hindu's make in celebration of Diwali, the festival of light; Sydney Harbour bridge in Australia, in the lead up to New Years Eve; and to China where millions will embark on mass migration, in celebration of the most important day in the Lunar calendar, Chinese New Year.
