Hosted by Jim Brasher, ‘Way of Life' explores some of the most exotic and uncommon occupations across the globe where the jobs are simply, a way of life. The series sees him venture to Argentina where he works as a gaucho and learns how to ride a horse and herd 500-strong cattle across rivers and canyons. Risking life and limb, he treks 400 kilometres with the Tuareg salt caravans, across the Azalai highways of the Sahara desert. Next up, he heads to Northern Luzon where he learns the spiritual importance of the rice trade to the Ifuago people, as he trains as a rice farmer. In India's bustling Kolkata, his endurance is truly tested as he works tirelessly as a rickshaw puller. And finally, Jim explores the incredible bond between man and elephant as he becomes a mahout. Living amongst the Karen people of Asia, he is taught how to steer, bath and feed his elephant all in the confines of the intense jungle.
