The Stalingrad Apocalypse

Image 1 / 1

‘The Stalingrad Apocalypse’ relives the battle between Nazi Germany and its allies against the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad during World War II. The conflict involved more participants than any other, and was marked by its brutality and disregard for military and civilian casualties. During the six month ordeal, orders to evacuate the local residents were never given - although there were trains ready and available on rail tracks. Meet those who suffered as they talk about their experience and of the two armies who fought each other. News footage from the period of 1942-1943 is also used in this documentary.
