A Crime To Remember

Image 1 / 6

Open files of cases that gripped the imagination and provided a huge challenge for law enforcement agencies. In the first episode, we discover Eddie and Alice Cummins are separated and fighting over the custody of their children, Eddie Jr. and Missy when the children suddenly go missing in the night and turn up dead hours later, rocking the small working-class New York neighbourhood.  Police interview the parents and they are taken aback that neither is sobbing nor hysterical, revealing a far more intricate web of lies. The body of student Mary Fleszar is found decomposing on an abandoned farm outside Ypsilanti. A year later, another woman is stabbed to death, and more grisly murders follow by various methods, spreading fear in the young women of Michigan. Police are on the hunt for ‘The Co-Ed Killer’, but three more women will die before a rookie cop is able to infiltrate the closed society of college fraternities and root out one of the nation’s first nationally known serial killers.
