Long Way Down

Image 1 / 3

Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman take a trip of several months on motorcycles, travelling from the North of Scotland, down through Europe, into Africa, finally winding up in Cape Town, South Africa. Encompassing 18 countries, this is an African-tinted adventure and a follow-up to the' Long Way Round' trip of 2004, when the pair rode east from London to New York via Eurasia and North America. The boys will camp in the centre of Silverstone racetrack, have an audience with the Rwandan president and will encounter a series of trip-defining moments, including tricky situations with border crossing officials and emotional meetings with Ugandan, Malawi and Ethiopian children who have suffered with AIDS, mine-related injuries and forced into conflict as child soldiers.
