Dee Forbes
President and Managing Director, Northern Europe
Dee Forbes is President & Managing Director of Discovery Networks Northern Europe.
Headquartered in London, Dee manages all commercial and channel activities for Discovery Networks Northern Europe's business covering 27 TV brands in 18 markets and territories. Discovery's footprint reaches over 276 million cumulative TV households across Northern Europe each month including the UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands.
Dee was previously at Turner Broadcasting, part of Time Warner, where she ran Turner's business in the UK and Ireland which consisted of seven entertainment channels including Cartoon Network, Boomerang and TCM. She spent several years working at Turner in a variety of commercial roles including General Manager for the Nordic/Central and Eastern Europe and EMA regions and Head of Advertising Sales for Europe.
Prior to joining Turner, Dee was an Account Director at Media Audits, a media consultancy, and began her career at Young and Rubicam Media in Europe.
Dee is Chair of the Commercial Broadcasters Association in the UK and is a Non-Executive Director of the Irish Times newspaper group. She is also on the board of ChildLine, a children's charity and Munster Rugby Club.
