James May is out to prove why traditional, old fashioned toys are still relevant today when he pushes them to the limit in spectacular, supersize challenges.
In this turn back time series, James pushes these traditional toys to their limit. He’ll attempt to run a model railway between two towns and tries to fulfill a lifelong ambition to design, build and fly an unmanned toy glider 20 miles over the ocean - this is a first in toy gliding history and the most difficult challenge to date. He will embark on an adventurous challenge to build a entire motorbike from Meccano which he aims to complete the 38 mile world famous TT circuit on the Isle of Man. We’ll also see him rehabilitate one of Britain's most derided toys by seeing if Action Man can travel faster than sound.
