Meet Mr Congeniality, aka Bill Alverson, a successful lawyer and pageant coach. This unscripted comedy follows loveable Bill as he navigates his intense professional life with his hilarious family life as a single father of three. There's William ("My dad has no filter at all"), Blanche ("Urgh, you smell like self-tan") and Bill’s "princess" Stella who is "blossoming into a beautiful young woman...and it is driving me nuts!"
And then there's daughter-in-law Helen-Ann, who is "carrying my grandson" which is why Bill buys her a maternity bra and dispenses advice such as, "Ever heard of a wonderful little thing called Kegel exercise?"
Bill admits, "I'd like my friends to say I was kind, caring and had a wonderful attitude. However, they'll probably tell you I'm caustic, I'm direct and I'm to the point."
After watching Mr Congeniality on TLC this January, viewers will tell you he's one of the funniest new personalities on TV.
