Paul Schur is Group Vice President, Communications, Warner Bros. Discovery. In this capacity he leads all communications strategies and PR efforts for the Animal Planet brand across all platforms and serves as network spokesperson; he also leads communicaiton strategies and PR efforts across Discovery Channel and Social Good, including GOLD RUSH and SHARK WEEK for Discovery and Project CAT and the Turn Up! Fight Hunger campaign in partnership with No Kid Hungry for Social Good.   

Schur earlier served as the lead commuincations executive for Animal Planet. Before joining Animal Planet in 2016, he was Vice President of Communications for Discovery Channel and Science Channel. In this capacity Schur managed day to day press activities and developed and executed communications strategies for network programming and brand defining events that included GOLD RUSH, SHARK WEEK, MYTHBUSTERS and THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN.

Before joining Discovery, Schur served as spokesperson for both CNN and Fox News Channel. During his decade long tenure in cable news, Schur oversaw press efforts and strategy for network coverage of breaking news events, regular network programming and global and U.S. election news coverage, including U.S. presidential and mid-term contests, for both networks. Additionally, at CNN Schur oversaw all press efforts for CNN anchors, correspondents and bureau chiefs around the world, and at FOX News he developed all strategy and led press efforts for the FOX broadcast Sunday morning public affairs program, FOX News Sunday, with hosts Tony Snow and later Chris Wallace. Schur is based in New York.
