ANIMAL PLANET DELIVERS DOUBLE-DIGIT RATINGS INCREASES ACROSS THE 25-54 DEMO IN AUGUST

Animal Planet delivered double digit Prime Time increases of +15% in Persons 25-54 in August vs. August 2016 in Live +3. The network showed double digit ratings growth for the month among Men 25-54 (12%) and Women 25-54 (20%) vs. the same month last year. Animal Planet also broke into cable television's Top 35 for the month among Persons 25-54 (#35), Men 25-54 (#32) and Total Viewers (#32). 

Additionally, in Total Day in August, Animal Planet was up 13% vs. August 2016.

August programming that drove viewership increases included I WAS PREY which is the highest rated new series since Lone Star Law in 3Q16 and the August 26 season premiere of PIT BULLS AND PAROLEES which pushed Animal Planet into ad-supported cable's Top Five during its time period (9PM) on Saturday's among P25-54 (#4) and W25-54 (#3). Other programming highlights in August included the August 5 season premiere of TREEHOUSE MASTERS which drove Animal Planet to rank among ad-supported cable's Top 10 for the night in its time period (10PM) among Men 25-54 (#8), Total Viewers P2+ (#8), and Persons 18-49(#10); and Rescue Dog to Super Dog season 1 which through three weeks was up double digits (+35%) over Animal Planet's 2017-to-date primetime average.
