(NEW YORK, NY) – Discovery Fit & Health introduces a new jaw-dropping series, I WAS IMPALED Saturday, September 8 at 10 PM ET/PT. Featuring unbelievable stories of foreign objects that people have found ingested or pierced into their bodies, I WAS IMPALED examines the extraordinary journey of how these foreign items are discovered and the ground breaking techniques used by medics turned detectives as they grapple with the mysterious objects lying deep within their patient for days, months and even years.

From fence posts and French fries to surf boards and garden shears, I WAS IMPALED reveals the stories of people from around the world who have accidentally ended up with foreign objects in their body. Each story is vividly brought to life by cutting edge animation - from the horrifying moment of when the injury occurs, to the euphoria of removing the object.
