(December 18, 2013) - The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP),Discovery Education and the Johns Hopkins University School of Education today announced a new professional development collaboration. Together, these leading organizations will create and deliver a unique professional development event providing participating principals the leadership skills and knowledge needed to create dynamic digital learning environments in their schools. Entitled the Great Leaders Summit, this event will be held July 20-24, 2014 at Discovery Education's global headquarters in Silver Spring, Md.
During this five-day event, attendees will participate in a variety of interactive sessions led by expert facilitators from NASSP, Discovery Education, and the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. School leadership and educational technology experts will explore a variety of topics during the Great Leaders Summit, including:
- Leading school culture change;
- Strategic decision making;
- Using social media to tell school success stories;
- The future of educational technology in schools, and
- Integrating educational technologies and digital content into classroom instruction at the school level.
