Continuing to give students unique access to White House professionals, experts and personalities, Discovery Education will transport students into a Chinese classroom alongside the First Lady during "Exchange for a Day." As part of her upcoming trip to China, Mrs. Obama will be interviewed by an American student studying in China and answer questions submitted by young people across the country through Discovery Education's website. On March 25 at 1p.m. ET, Discovery Education will broadcast the interview online to students across the U.S., building cultural awareness and mutual understanding among participants.

She will be visiting important historical and cultural sites in China, and will share the stories of the students she meets, as well as interesting facts about China's history and culture - emphasizing the importance of students learning from one another globally.

"We are thrilled to offer U.S. students these unique learning opportunities," said Bill Goodwyn, CEO, Discovery Education. "This Virtual Field Trip supports Discovery Education's commitment to providing today's students with memorable digital experiences that let them explore the world from their classroom and build the critical 21st century skills of cultural awareness and global citizenship."

Discovery Education and the White House's Virtual Field Trip series, "Of the People," has already provided students a special look at the art and history of the White House with curator William Allman as well as an inside look at a 21st century digital classroom with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
