NEW EUROSPORT PLAYER TO BE LAUNCHED IN TIME FOR LE MANS 24 HOURS

-- Eurosport Player to re-launch on June 10 with a new user experience giving fans unrivalled online sports coverage --

Paris, June 4, 2015: Eurosport, the leading pan-regional sports entertainment destination, has today announced that the new version of Eurosport Player, the channel's online simulcast, will be launched on June 10 ahead of Le Mans 24 Hours, the world's longest running and most prestigious endurance motor race.

Eurosport will broadcast every minute of Le Mans 24 Hours and offer unrivalled editorial content and special programmes to provide the most immersive coverage to motorsport fans. It is the perfect event to showcase the new Eurosport Player, where it will be broadcast uninterrupted and ad-free, and unveil the innovative user experience which will enable racing fans to get under the skin of the esteemed race.

Eurosport Player functions include:

  • Live and enhanced linear experience: simulcast of Eurosport channels available on full screen. The user is never more than one click away from live action.
  • Improved discovery of content: intuitive channel navigation, alerts and notifications and a new-look programme guide.
  • 360° coverage: multiple camera access allowing for a bespoke viewing experience.

On average, over the past five years, Eurosport's coverage has reached 16.5 million fans in Europe, with a record 18 million in 2013.
