In Total Viewers GOLD RUSH Breaks Season Record and JUNGLE GOLD Breaks Series Record

Propelled by the compelling characters of both GOLD RUSH and JUNGLE GOLD, Discovery Channel beat CBS, NBC and FOX in the key broadcast television 18-49 demo during Prime Time on Friday, Nov. 23.  Discovery Channel was also the #1 cable network on Friday evening among key cable demos, including Persons and Men 25-54 and Persons and Men 18-49 delivery. GOLD RUSH and JUNGLE GOLD both broke season records for total viewership P2+ on Friday night.

GOLD RUSH at 9PM ET/PT earned 2.95 HH and a 2.51 P25-54 rating, and delivered 4.69 million total viewers P2+. This marks the highest total viewership for the series during season three which began on October 26. GOLD RUSH was also the #1 program on cable in P18+; Persons, Men, and Women 25-54; Persons and Men 18-49; and Persons and Men 18-34 delivery, no exclusions.  It also beat every program on both broadcast and cable television in key male demos that included Men 25-54 and 18-49 delivery, no exclusions.    

The 10PM ET/PT premiere of JUNGLE GOLD on Nov. 23 earned 1.84 HH/1.47 P25-54 rating, it delivered 2.80 million viewers P2+.  This marks the highest total P2+ viewership for the series, which premiered on October 26.  JUNGLE GOLD out-delivered most broadcast television programs among Men on Friday evening, earning the #4 spot in ALL OF TELEVISION in Men 25-54 and Men 18-49 delivery. Second only to GOLD RUSH, JUNGLE GOLD was the #2 cable program, no exclusions, among P18+, Persons and Men 25-54, and Persons and Men 18-49 delivery on Friday night.

All-new episodes of GOLD RUSH and JUNGLE GOLD will air this Friday, November 30 at 9 and 10 PM ET/PT.
