SILVER SPRING, MD) The daring gold-miners of Discovery Channel's hit series JUNGLE GOLD, George Wright and Scott Lomu, return to face Ghana's notorious rainy season, armed militia, road blocks and treacherous jungle, in an all-out bid to mine enough gold to pay off their debts and fight for their families futures. Season two of JUNGLE GOLD premieres Sunday, August 11 at 10 PM/ET on Discovery.

Former high-roller real estate dealers George and Scott still face over a one million dollar debt after losing it all in the real estate crash in 2006. Scott must now turn to his father-in-law, Bud, to invest in their third attempt at gold mining in Ghana - Africa's second largest gold producing country. With family money on the line, George and Scott return to the jungle and encounter hurdles at every turn. Alongside new colleague, Dave Thomas, George and Scott head into dangerous missions to reclaim their mining equipment and prospect 50 acres of unforgiving but gold rich land in just seven days.

This season, George and Scott take on even higher stakes in the precarious and unpredictable world of Ghanaian gold mining. All new episodes of JUNGLE GOLD promise must-watch moments as George and Scott risk their lives to provide a future for their families, and the widow and family of Wally Macias, their former mining partner who died before the dream of striking it rich could be realized. Every moment is spent with passports in pocket, in a world where one wrong move could result in a race to get out of the country or end up in jail.

JUNGLE GOLD is produced for Discovery Channel by Raw TV where Sam Maynard and Jos Cushing serve as executive producers and Ian Dray as showrunner. For Discovery Channel, Christo Doyle is executive producer and Meagan Davis is producer.
