IN MAY DEADLIEST CATCH IS #1 IN ALL OF CABLE FOR MEN 25-54

Driven by favorite series, including DEADLIEST CATCH and FAST N' LOUD, and freshman series, ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE, Discovery Channel was up in all key demos in May 2014 vs. May 2013. Additionally, Discovery delivered ratings successes across the week in key demos while delivering #1 programs for Men on numerous nights in May.

Discovery Channel in May was up double digits (+11%) in Households (HH), +9% in Total Viewers P2+, +6% in Men 25-54, +5% in Persons 25-54, and +4% in Women 25-54 vs. May 2013. Discovery was also ranked in cable's Top 10 for the month in Prime for Men 25-54 (#6), Persons 25-54 (#7), Men 18-49 (#7) and Persons 18-49 (#9).

DEADLIEST CATCH was the #1 program in ad supported cable, including all nights, among Men 25-54 delivery*. It was also the #1 Tuesday program on cable in both Persons and Men 25-54 and Persons and Men 18-49, with an average viewership of 2.86 million viewers P2+*The Bait, a series of one-hour pre-DEADLIEST CATCH shows that give an inside look at the episode ahead from the captains, averaged 1.56 million viewers P2+ for the month. Also on Tuesdays, all new series, ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE, delivered 1.75 million viewers for the month.

On Mondays, FAST N' LOUD finished as the #1 Monday night program in May among both Men 25-54 and Men 18-49 delivery*, with an average of 2.26 Million Total viewers P2+. And on Fridays, Discovery had the top two ad supported cable programs among both Men 25-54 and Men 18-49 delivery* with SONS OF GUNS at #1 and CHROME UNDERGROUND at #2 for the month*.
