David Bromstad

David Bromstad, host of HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home, is known for his endless energy and out-of-the-box thinking. David launched his hosting career with the network after winning the first seasonof HGTV Design Star and has starred in other HGTV series, including Color Splash and Flipping the Block. His expert design advice has been featured by Today, CNN, Dwell Magazine, Marie Claire and USA Today, to name a few.

Growing up in small town Minnesota, David’s budding creativity led him to enroll as a design student at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Following graduation, he launched his career at Walt Disney World in Orlando, executing installations seen by millions of visitors every year. Earnest, passionate, talented and innovative, David’s knack for blending styles of realism and fantasy create awe-inspiring works on many platforms, including: custom art, furniture building and interior design. His first exhibition of art and custom furniture was displayed at Art Basel in Miami in 2011.
