Leanne and Steve Ford

Siblings Leanne and Steve Ford enliven older Pittsburgh-area homes with beautiful and unique custom designs in HGTV’s new home renovation series Restored by the Fords.

Leanne, an interior designer, first gained national attention when she restored and designed a turn-of-the-century schoolhouse in her hometown of Pittsburgh. Today, her designs can be found in homes across the country and reflect what she describes as her signature “modern yet lived-in” aesthetic. Leanne’s work has been featured in numerous national publications including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Country Livingand The New York Times, to name a few. Most recently, she debuted a modern lighting collection under Target’s in-house home brand, Project 62.

Born with a knack for creative carpentry, Steve is a licensed contractor who tackles unconventional construction challenges that bring his sister’s unique vision to life. His portfolio includes store and restaurant design, displays and set design for national retail brands, as well as residential renovations. Steve also is the founder of Surf Pittsburgh, the city’s first river surfing company. In his free time, he can be found surfing on local rivers, snowboarding or making custom furniture. In 2018, Steve bought his first home and commissioned Leanne to design it, which was featured in season two of Restored by the Fords.

In 2019, Leanne and Steve appeared in HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation, combining forces with fellow HGTV experts the Brady cast to execute the boldest home renovation the world has ever seen: a full-scale overhaul of the world-famous Brady Bunch house in Los Angeles.

Leanne also appeared in the network’s competition series, Rock the Block, where she competed alongside rival HGTV powerhouses to overhaul identical suburban properties in the Greater Los Angeles area into extraordinary custom dream homes for the ultimate prize: victory and bragging rights.

Leanne currently resides with her husband and daughter Ever in Los Angeles, and Steve resides in Pittsburgh.
