VELOCITY ADDS HORSE POWER TO RECORD RATINGS GROWTH WITH 2015-16 UPFRONT SLATE

(New York) - Entertaining original series, premier events and stalwart franchises helped drive Velocity over the finish line as the #1 network in all of primetime cable for Men 25-54 in 2014**. Velocity flipped the script on the cable industry with historic, primetime double-digit ratings growth to end the year +50% in Men 18-34, +47% in Persons 18-34, +23% in Men 25-54 and +28% in Persons 25-54 delivery vs. 2013. Ratings momentum continued this past January as more than 5.2 million people watched premiere coverage of Velocity's BARRETT-JACKSON LIVE in real time, and the network cruised to its best month ever in ratings and delivery among Households, Persons and Men 25-54 (tie #1 with Feb. 2014), Persons 2+ and Men 18+.
Velocity's 2015-16 programming slate of 12 top returning franchises and several new series look to strengthen ratings with more than 220 premiere hours featuring the very best experts, compelling stories and the biggest, brightest personalities of the automotive world.

From his garage on Long Island Will Castro turns out one-of-a-kind custom autos for a global client base of A-list celebrities, professional athletes, corporate clients and more. Castro's rides are prized for their combination of style, craftsmanship and eye-popping visuals. In UNIQUE RIDES WITH WILL CASTRO (wt), Velocity viewers will get an inside look at Castro's amazing process - from design and tear down to the build and reveal - for turning ordinary autos into extraordinary works of art. In addition to UNIQUE RIDES WITH WILL CASTRO (wt) four other new series headline the Velocity 2015-2016 Upfront programming slate including IRON RESURRECTION (wt) starring Joe Martin the winner of Discovery Channel's BIKER BUILD-OFF and LOWRIDER RESCUE (wt).
Velocity's BARRETT-JACKSON LIVE returns following an incredibly successful debut in January 2015, which saw the six-day live event shatter records to become the network's #1 series among Households, Persons 2+ and Men 18+ in ratings and delivery. The first five nights of BARRETT-JACKSON LIVE also delivered the five largest audiences ever in primetime for the network among total viewers Persons 2+ and Men 18+. BARRETT-JACKSON LIVE in 2016 kicks off with 40 live hours from Scottsdale in January, and continues through the year with 60 live hours of three additional Barrett-Jackson auctions.
Dave Kindig, Velocity's breakout star of 2014, returns in an all new season of BITCHIN' RIDES this October. Last year the freshman series debuted to incredible fanfare earning the title of the highest delivering series in network history. In season two viewers will ride into the mind-blowing world of the extraordinary automotive designer, artist, builder and entrepreneur as he and his talented team render, design, build and create one-of-a-kind vehicles. The Velocity 2015-16 slate also features returning hit franchises including DALLAS CAR SHARKS, FANTOMWORKS, AMERICARNA, GRAVEYARD CARZ, WHAT'S MY CAR WORTH? and the global sensation WHEELER DEALERS.
Velocity's signature series OVERHAULIN' featuring Chip Foose, Chris Jacobs and Arianny Celeste, and CHASING CLASSIC CARS featuring classic car archeologist Wayne Carini also return for all-new seasons in the fall of 2015 followed by new episodes of two popular "how to" series in ALL GIRLS GARAGE and CAR FIX in the spring of 2016.

In each episode of WHEELER DEALERS Mike Brewer hunts for a decent car at the right price - looking through classified ads, internet auctions, specialist clubs and garages to find the perfect second hand car. Once he's found the right car Brewer uses his experience to negotiate the best price. The car then goes to the WHEELER DEALERS workshop where Edd China casts his expert eye over what Brewer has found, and conducts a fascinating, expert "how to" session for viewers as he makes repairs to the vehicle. Brewer then finds a buyer for the restored auto and hopefully banks a profit for the duo after negotiating the sale.
