Kate Mitchell
Senior Vice President, Ad Sales
Kate Mitchell serves as Senior Vice President of ad sales for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. She was previously appointed head of ad sales/vice president for the network in January 2015. In this position, Mitchell oversees all advertising sales strategies for OWN as well as its digital assets including Oprah.com.
A member of the Discovery family for over 10 years, Mitchell first joined OWN during its launch year in 2011, first as an account executive and then rose to advertising sales director prior to her current position.
At Discovery Communications, Mitchell held various ad sales positions across several networks including TLC and Travel Channel.
Mitchell received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Business from Villanova University. She resides in New York City with her husband and children.
