EXCERPT: Michael B. Jordan discussed how fame has impacted dating:
OPRAH: And also there's the whole, like, women issue.
MICHAEL: Yeah.
OPRAH: Did that change for you?
MICHAEL: Um, I -- I -- I've done pretty well in the female department growing up. It definitely magnified it. It uh, it opened up -
OPRAH: Are you doing the homina, homina?
MICHAEL: No, it's -- it's crazy. I've -- I've had -- I've never had a girlfriend, for the most part.
OPRAH: You've never had a girlfriend.
MICHAEL: I've never, no. I've had girls that I've dated that I had, you know, deep feelings for, you know, over the years but I believe in karma. I have a sister, you know, and I never really wanted to do females wrong, you can't act like that. You can't treat women that way.
OPRAH: So you don't want to treat any woman any differently than you'd want a man to treat your sister.
MICHAEL: 110 percent. And I found this young lady --
OPRAH: That should be the rule for all men.
MICHAEL: It should be, right?
OPRAH: That should be Michael B. Jordan's Rules.

EXCERPT: Idris Elba on staying in a cell overnight at Robben Island to prepare for portraying Nelson Mandela in the film "Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom"
OPRAH: What was it like, your first visit to Robben Island?
IDRIS: My first visit was - I did it as a tourist, as a museum type thing.
OPRAH: Yeah.
IDRIS: And then the second tour, was awful. Awful. When I started to understand, you know, the history of the island, you know, the fact that it was a leprosy colony.
OPRAH: Yes.
IDRIS: So after my second trip I asked if they wouldn't mind letting me stay a night in Mandela's cell. And they said, no. I said, please. And they said, no. So this went on for six or seven times and then eventually they said, okay, you can stay the night by yourself but not in Madiba's cell. I was like, fine. I'll stay anywhere you like. And they offered me a cell on C Wing, which is the punishment cell. And I said I want it exactly as Madiba had it. Whatever facilities he had that night on his first night. And they said, well, he had this thin foam blanket and this little blanket here and a bucket for -- for the toilet and that's it. And I said I'll take that. So I remember him standing on the other side of the bars and he shut the door and he looked at me before he turned the key and he goes, are you sure you want to do this? This is not necessary. I said, yeah, I want to do. Shut the door. Walked away. Shut the next door. Walked away. I just heard this series of locks.
OPRAH: Locks and --
IDRIS: You know?
OPRAH: Yeah
IDRIS: And I thought to myself, okay. And I had the most amazing sense of loss. I was like, wow. And it just put it into perspective about what Madiba had gone through. I mean just perspective and context.
