(Silver Spring, MD) – With the ability to zoom in to almost anywhere in the world by simply opening your browser, it’s hard to imagine there are actual mysteries left to be caught on camera – but there are sparsely populated areas of Earth’s surface that have remained unexplored, until now. Satellites orbiting our planet have put more eyes on Earth's vast areas of land and sea than ever before and WHAT ON EARTH?, returning for a second season on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 9PM investigates these baffling anomalies and shows the world like we’ve never seen it before.

WHAT ON EARTH? examines a selection of bizarre phenomena with the help of journalists, geophysicists, archaeologists, crime scene investigators and other experts. The series travels to Vietnam, Peru and to the middle of the ocean this season to get to the bottom of images caught on camera by hundreds of eyes in the sky that range from seemingly odd geological occurrences and strange man-made structures to chance sightings of the unexplained.

From what appears to be a crime scene in Amsterdam found on Google Maps, to a massive black blob spotted in the ocean off the coast of the Florida Keys, WHAT ON EARTH? reminds us that sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.

WHAT ON EARTH? is produced for Science Channel by Wag TV. For Wag TV, the executive producers are Greg Chivers and Martin Durkin and the series producer is Mike Ibeji. For Science Channel, Neil Laird is executive producer and Presley Adamson is associate producer.
