Angela Griffin: Medics On Call
Over the course of ten busy weeks, British actress Angela Griffin is embedded with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, some of the heroes of the UK emergency services. Angela observes and talks with the teams - including paramedics, emergency care practitioners, call handlers and community responders – as she attempts to embrace the full spectrum of their challenging roles. As part of her journey, Angela goes on an emergency call to a baby with breathing difficulties, sees a 57-year-old heart attack victim being treated, witnesses a woman being brought back to life and watches as a woman who is trapped in her hotel room by a severe muscle spasm is saved, among many other amazing experiences.
