Le Mans

Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June

Dubbed the ‘Grand Prix of Speed and Endurance’, the greatest sportscar race in the world is coming to Quest this June for the second year running. Quest will have the live start of this epic 24 hour endurance race on Saturday afternoon followed by an evening highlights programme to catch up on the days events. On Sunday morning we start with a sunrise highlight show to recap on the overnight events before broadcasting live from the finish line on Sunday afternoon. The drivers cover distances well over 5000km and the race is approximately 18 times longer than a Formula One Grand Prix. This year former Olympic cyclist, Sir Chris Hoy has announced he will make his debut and compete in Le Mans 24 to fulfil a lifelong dream. He will drive a Nissan-powered Ligier JS P2 chassis at Le Mans’ Circuit de la Sarthe, in the second, LMP2 tier of racing, along with two team-mates.
