What On Earth? 2

Premieres 2nd August, 10pm

Image 1 / 6

Watching us from space, satellites orbit the Earth at 17,000 miles an hour, capturing images of our world that are both breath-taking and bizarre. This unique perspective reveals objects that seem to make no sense and phenomena that defy explanation. Such photographs force the question, what on Earth is that? Using state of the art technology satellites find structures and cities lost for thousands of years. One image could be evidence of a murder spotted from space. Another reveals the location of Russia’s Doomsday Device. A fleet of ships stranded in the desert, a desperate cry for help from downed pilots in Vietnam, or the smoking gun that almost wiped out the world. ‘What on Earth’ goes in search of answers; trying to unravel these mysteries, captured from space.
