New York [Sept. 10, 2019] The Monday, Sept. 9, premiere of A Very Brady Renovation at 9 p.m. ET/PT delivered a 1.43 P25-54 L+SD rating and a 1.52 P2+ L+SD rating, making it the highest-rated season premiere in HGTV history. The 90-minute episode was HGTV’s highest-rated telecast in over two-and-a-half years. The episode posted a 160 percent increase among P25-54 L+SD ratings over year-ago levels and a 211% lift over the prior six-week time period. It also was the #1 non-sports telecast of the night on ad-supported cable among P25-54 L+SD.

“We knew A Very Brady Renovation would exceed every expectation,” said Jane Latman, president, HGTV. “This initial ratings and digital performance report has been nothing short of impressive and our entire team is celebrating. The Brady Bunch is a pop culture phenomenon with incredible appeal, so we expect viewers to return week after week to watch how HGTV renovated and replicated the real Brady Bunch house.”

The series also performed well on digital platforms. On HGTV GO, a 14-minute sneak peek tease of the A Very Brady Renovation premiere was the most-streamed video from Aug. 26 to Sept. 9. The series premiere was the #1 most social reality cable series program on Facebook and the #2 most social reality cable series program overall on Sept. 9.

A Very Brady Renovation features the full-scale overhaul of the real Brady Bunch house in Los Angeles. Exterior shots of that house were often used to establish a sense of time and place for the Brady family. HGTV executed a show-stopping transformation of the home by adding 2,000 square feet to its original footprint—all without compromising its instantly recognizable street view. The house was replicated to include the iconic floating staircase, the orange-and-green kitchen, Greg’s attic, the kids Jack-n-Jill bathroom and many more memorable spaces. The Brady Bunch house will forever hold a special place in television history and American pop culture.
