This addictive digital venture invites viewers to take a closer look at more recent crimes, scandals and murders that grabbed the attention of the newsroom, revealing exclusive facts and chilling secrets. TORN FROM THE HEADLINES: NEW YORK POST REPORTS premieres on Investigation Discovery on Monday, March 16 at 10 p.m. ET and NEW YORK POST REPORTS: OFF THE RECORD will be available on IDGO on March 30.

In this series, each hour-long episode takes viewers across six seminal cases that dominated the headlines of the famed daily. From the ransom case of “The Tuxedo King” to the cracking of the “Million Dollar Murder” and justice for the abandoned infant “Baby Hope,” each headline-grabbing case is covered from start to finish. Viewers will meet the reporters, from the original crime team led by Larry Celona to New York Post Digital Editor-in-Chief Michelle Gotthelf, who work alongside New York’s finest from crime scene to conviction. These reporters didn’t just communicate the story, they defined the case. Archival news footage, powerful interviews from survivors and family members and never-before-seen evidence are revealed. Watch as each story unfolds with shocking twists, jaw-dropping revelations and unexpected resolutions for the paper that turned justice into headline news.

“Last Call at the Falls” - premieres March 16 at 10/9c

On February 24, 2006, beautiful and brilliant grad student Imette St. Guillen was celebrating her upcoming 25th birthday with her closest friends. Less than 24 hours later, her bruised and battered body is found wrapped in a cheap blanket and discarded on a desolate road in East New York. Imette’s murder sends shockwaves throughout the city, and as the New York Post runs story after story about the gruesome crime, police hunt a potential serial killer and expose a cover-up that will change New York forever.

“The Tuxedo King” – premieres March 23 at 10/9c 

When New York City tuxedo manufacturer and ex-marine Harvey Weinstein doesn’t show up for work one morning, his family and friends immediately fear the worst. The next day, a ransom call from the mysterious Black Cat Organization demands $3 million for Harvey’s safe return. His family hurriedly enlists the help of the NYPD to recover their father. But as days turn to weeks with still no trace of Harvey, his fate becomes more and more uncertain. And when New York Post crime reporter Larry Celona stumbles across Harvey’s story, he faces the ultimate journalistic dilemma: Does his duty to inform the public always come first?

“Baby Hope” - premieres March 30 at 10/9c

A grisly discovery in a picnic cooler on a highway in upper Manhattan leads detectives down a twisting trail of clues as they try to solve one of the longest-running mysteries in the New York Post's history. The NYPD must not only hunt down a deranged child killer before they strike again, but they must also give the unknown victim a name … and an unlikely family.

“Slumlord Millionaire” - premieres April 6 at 10/9c

A crime caught on tape shows Hasidic landlord Menachem Stark in the fight for his life against unknown assailants in a deadly New York blizzard. When his body is found the next day, the New York Post follows as the NYPD hunts down his killers … and discovers that the popular Brooklyn landlord might have been hiding some potentially deadly secrets.

“Million Dollar Murder” - premieres April 13 at 10/9c

When successful businessman George Kogan is gunned down in broad daylight on a ritzy Upper East Side sidewalk, the millionaire’s murder sends shockwaves through the usually peaceful neighborhood. Even more shocking are the sordid details of George’s personal life that emerge in the pages of the New York Post in the days after the shooting … leaving police to unravel the tangled web of lies spun by his killer.

“CSI Slay” - premieres April 20 at 10/9c

When a young CSI tech is found brutally murdered in her bedroom, her colleagues at the NYPD crime lab are left to solve her murder. But the deeper they dig, the stranger her murder becomes. The New York Post follows the case as all the gruesome details unfold, including a shocking discovery that leads investigators to an unexpected killer

“Happily Never After”

The 911 dispatchers in Costa Mesa, Orange County receive a call on May 22, 2010, from Steve Herr. He has found a young woman deceased in his son Sam‘s apartment and he is nowhere to be found. Who is this woman and where is Sam? What seems like an open and shut case to the police, becomes a tale of twists and turns that is far more than meets the eye. 

“Sorority Sister Snatched”    

On June 17, 2019, 23-year-old Mackenzie Lueck arrives at Salt Lake City International Airport at 1 a.m. after returning from her grandmother’s funeral in El Segundo, California. But Mackenzie never makes it back to her apartment. When she doesn’t show up for a midterm exam, her friends know something is terribly wrong. With knowledge of Mackenzie’s use of online dating sites, investigators shift focus to an online acquaintance and are horrified by what they find.

“Mississippi Murder”

During the summer of 2019, Ally Kostial is taking summer courses towards her bachelor’s degree in marketing and teaching fitness classes at University of Mississippi. On the evening of July 19, Ally leaves her dorm and never comes back. The next morning, a police officer on a routine patrol discovers Ally’s body near Sardis Lake in Harmontown, Mississippi, 10 miles away from the university’s campus. She had been shot eight times. Baffled by the mystery, police discover their prime suspect is hiding in plain sight.

“Social Media Murder”

On Sunday, July 14, 2019, Instagram gets a nasty shock. Grisly photos of 17-year-old Instagram star Bianca Devins’s lifeless body are posted to the social media site alongside the message “sorry.” Police are on a race against time to track down her boyfriend with only social media as their guide.  

“Ivy League Murder”

On January 2, 2018, 19-year old Blaze Bernstein, a pre-med student at the University of Pennsylvania, is home for the holidays. He’s dropped off by a high school friend that night and is never heard from again. When is family discovers he’s left behind his ID, money, glasses and daily medication, they were convinced Blaze hasn’t disappeared on his own … and they were right. 

“Fake Heiress”

One of the greatest cons in recent history started with the barest tidbit of a news tip. A young New York City socialite has skipped out of town with unpaid bills in her wake. Reporter Rebecca Rosenberg is unimpressed and prepared to skip the story entirely, but her photographer is convinced there’s more. Armed with a photo and an eye-catching headline, Rebecca writes the article that launched the jaw-dropping “wannabe socialite “story into the limelight.
