Gen. Wesley K. Clark

Gen. Wesley Clark is a 38-year veteran with the U.S. Army who, during that time, rose to the rank of four-star General and NATO Supreme Allied Commander. While with NATO from 1997 to 2000, Gen. Clark commanded Operation Allied Force, the organization's first major combat action, which saved 1.5 million Albanians from ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. Upon retiring from the military in 2000, Gen. Clark was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. He is also the recipient of numerous U.S. and foreign military awards, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart. Gen. Clark graduated first in his class at West Point and earned degrees in philosophy, politics, and economics at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. Currently, Gen. Clark is a public speaker, frequent commentator on CNN, and chairman and CEO of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, a strategic advisory and consulting firm. He is the author of two best-selling books, "Waging Modern War: Bosnia, Kosovo, and the Future of Combat" and "Winning Modern Wars."
