Now in season six, MotorTrend TV’s hit series GARAGE SQUAD is premiering Wednesday, August 28 at 10 PM ET/PT with an all-new cohost and an all-new crop of neglected projects to restore to automotive glory. Cohost Bruno Massel, master mechanic Joe Zolper and new addition Cristy Lee lead the GARAGE SQUAD team of highly trained mechanics and experts as they take over the car owner’s garage with one goal in mind – getting the owner’s stalled project in gear and ready to drive.

This season, the GARAGE SQUAD are helping a new crop of car aficionados who have bought a less than perfect version of their dream car. People whose dreams of automotive grandeur were wrecked by a lack of money, time and knowhow leaving garages cluttered with cars, parts and tools gathering dust. Fortunately, these well-meaning automotive enthusiasts are setting pride aside and opening their garage doors to the GARAGE SQUAD. Massel, Zolper, Lee and the team are always up for the challenge of rebuilding an engine, rejuvenating bodywork, reconstructing upholstery or doing whatever it takes to bring joyful tears to even the most hardened car owners.

Cristy Lee has combined her passion and knowledge for the automotive industry, motorsports and motorcycles with her love of broadcasting. She has worked as a cohost of ALL GIRLS GARAGE for eight seasons, and as cohost of popular BARRETT-JACKSON LIVE broadcasts since 2015 on MotorTrend TV and the MotorTrend App. Lee’s career accomplishments extend to pit reporting for indoor motocross, motorcycle road racing, off-road trucks, monster trucks, and flat track, as well as the 2015 and 2016 X Games for ESPN in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in Daytona Beach, Fla., Cristy Lee grew up in her dad’s mechanic shop near the “World Center of Racing’ in Daytona. Cars, motorcycles and racing have been a big part of her life for many years. When she’s not in front of the camera, Cristy is motorcycling around the country or turning laps at the race track with more than sixteen years’ experience on two-wheels and often dabbles in performance driving – road-racing, autocross and drag racing.

Bruno Massel serves as co-host of both GARAGE SQUAD and TRUCK U on MotorTrend TV and the MotorTrend App. After graduating from the University of Iowa, Bruno put his legal career on hold to model in a Ralph Lauren campaign. Between photo shoots, Bruno began tinkering in the family drag racing business, which led to his first full season on the IHRA National Tour and a near IHRA National Championship. He continued to establish himself as a perennial championship contender, eventually racing in the NHRA and winning two national championships while finishing his racing career with 37 wins. In 2001, he became a commentator for the IHRA racing series on TNN and Speed Channel. Bruno’s camera presence and knowledge of motorsports has led to a fulltime career as a host, covering various disciplines of racing and automotive industry events.

Joe Zolper is the lead mechanic on GARAGE SQUAD. Living in Joliet, Illinois with his wife and daughter, Joe is the owner of Prison City Choppers. Born into a family of mechanics, Joe has wanted to be a mechanic since he was in third grade. He began working independently at the age of 18, getting his hands on anything with a motor. He was 23 when he opened Prison City Choppers and the shop is now one of the largest custom shops in the Midwest, having won multiple awards including “People’s Interest” and “Best in Show” from “World of Wheels” and “Super Cycles.”
