Senior Vice President, Programming and Development, Primetime

Michele M. Dix joined OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network as senior vice president, Programming and Development, Primetime in May 2010.  In this position she oversees, along with Rod Aissa, all programming and development for the network.

Previously, Ms. Dix was senior vice president, music & talent development, VH1 & MTV Networks Music Group, where she developed and created new series and specials around unique musical concepts and talent. 

With a 14 year track record at MTV, Ms. Dix has co-created such memorable specials and series as "mtvICON," "Life & Rhymes," "MTV's Ultimate Mash-Ups: JAY-Z and Linkin Park" and "J-Lo: Beyond the Runway."  Additionally, Ms. Dix created the "24 Hours" franchise for MTV and co-executive produced the VH1 Classic/BBC documentary series "Seven Ages of Rock."  For more than a decade, she also served as a senior creative executive for the MTV Video Music Awards.

Prior to joining MTV and MTV2, Ms. Dix was senior music producer for the entertainment news program "Extra."  She also served as a talent executive for "FOX's Billboard Awards," "The Dennis Miller Show" and a variety of other network specials.
