NEXT GREAT BAKER opens voting for America's choice

"Baker's Dozen" contestant to be featured in new season on TLC

TLC's hit competition series NEXT GREAT BAKER is about to begin shooting for its third season, and host Buddy "Cake Boss" Valastro has chosen 12 talented aspiring bakers to compete for the sweet grand prize - including a chance to work alongside him at his famed business, Carlo's Bakery, in Hoboken NJ. But, Buddy wants to round out the contestants to a "baker's dozen" and is asking America to select the 13th and final contestant from three finalists.

Voting has begun at TLC.com/NextGreatBaker, and closes at 11:59pm on Sunday, August 19. Cast your entry today!

The finalists are:

Chris Luna, Roseville, CA, 29 years old.

This husband and father of two spends his days as a sales executive but has sweet dreams of running his own baking business. Chris is incredibly handy and loves to construct complicated cakes - he looks forward to the elaborate challenges that NEXT GREAT BAKER contestants face.

Amy Mandala, Shirley, NY, 32 years old.

A trained pastry chef and owner of Delicious Delights Bakery, which creates and delivers custom desserts. Her passion for baking started as a child, working alongside her mother in the kitchen. She took a decorating class from Buddy years ago, and is looking to prove she's now ready to step back into his kitchen.

Elizabeth Marek, Portland, OR, 31 years old.

An owner of a food cart, Savor Cakes, and a custom cake business, Artisan Cake Company, she's a graduate of Oregon Culinary Institute. Married, she also supports her disabled sister, and plans to tackle the challenge of NEXT GREAT BAKER in honor of her family members struggling from illness.

NEXT GREAT BAKER will premiere its third season in November.
