Almost 40 years after its first documented outbreak, Ebolas is , is back in the most savage form we've seen in its short history. This tiny virus containing just a handful of genes has already killed more people in its current outbreak than in all of its previous occurrences combined, as its largest and deadliest outbreak rages on without an end in sight.

In this one off UK premiere, Ebola Exposed gives the most up-to-date look at the remarkable virus that is terrifying the world. What exactly is Ebola? How does it work? Where did it come from? And what does the future hold? The hour long documentary will delve into the most topical questions surrounding Ebola, with the aid of A-list scientists, doctors and experts in the field, including professor Peter Piot, head of The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a member of the team that first identified the Ebola Virus in 1976 in The Democratic Republic of Congo. Ebola Exposed will also explore the relatively new science of Viral Archaeology and how it could revolutionise the fight against deadly viruses.
