KILLER CONFESSIONS pits detectives against cold-blooded killers in the close confines of the interrogation room, as both parties fight to gain the upper hand – and avoid giving theirs away. Utilising real footage from within the interrogation rooms, reenactments, and interviews with the detectives involved; the show highlights true crime cases, and offers an insight into an experience that most people would do well to avoid. Experienced detectives demonstrate how they set about obtaining that much-coveted confession – showcasing the psychological tricks involved as they seek to establish a rapport and tighten the screw. Early episodes focus on the case of a missing Florida woman who vanished on the eve of a court case, and the fallout of a churchgoer’s chilling confession to her pastor. Facing obstructive lawyers, poker-faced liars, and a ticking clock; the detectives must display quick-thinking and surefire instincts to get the job done. What is it that drives them forwards, as they go head-to-head with these extremely dangerous individuals?
