Dr. Michael Stone, world-famous professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University, has researched hundreds of killers, methods and motives to develop his hierarchy of evil, which grades murderers, serial killers and sociopaths according to how evil they are. Using re-enactments, news footage, evidence and an exploration of neurological, environmental, and genetic factors Dr. Stone determines what drives a person to kill. In this new series he looks at what drove demented Andrew Cunanan to kill designer Gianni Versace; investigates the neuro-psychology of sinister stalkers; and goes into prison to meet Bill Heirens, the so-called Lipstick Killer, to see if psychology can unlock the secrets of his case.
