WITNESS THE BIRTH OF FUTURISTIC INNOVATIONS ON ALL-NEW SERIES PROTOTYPE THIS!

Are you still waiting for the Jetson's lifestyle to arrive? Have you ever encountered heavy traffic on the freeway and wished you could kick your car into "jumping mode" to get past it? Take heart - the future is now! This February, Discovery Science's all-new series PROTOTYPE THIS! will take you straight to the drawing board and through the design process to experience firsthand as inventions come to life, featuring one-of-a kind prototypes of tomorrow for people to experience today. PROTOTYPE THIS! premieres every Wednesday at 0530 hrs (5:30 am SIN/HK), starting February 25. Encores Wednesday at 0900 hrs (9:00 am SIN/HK), 1730 hrs (5:30 pm SIN/HK), 2100 hrs (9:00 pm SIN/HK), Saturday at 0430 hrs (4:30 am SIN/HK), 1000 hrs (10:00 am SIN/HK), 1630 hrs (4:30 pm SIN/HK), 2200 hrs (10:00 pm SIN/HK) and Monday at 0000 hrs (12:00 am SIN/HK), 1200 hrs (12:00 pm SIN/HK).

Out to prove that the only limits to innovation are our own imaginations, the PROTOTYPE THIS! dream team - led by electrical engineer Joe Grand, special effects technician Terry Sandin, robotics and computing systems expert Dr Zoz Brooks, and mechanical engineer Dr Mike North - combines the best of emerging technology with new ideas to create forward-thinking products. From a road rage-proof car to a high-tech alarm clock that provides not only a wake up chime but an automated shower, valet service, and mechanised butler to get you out of bed and out the door, these innovations tackle modern inconveniences and problems we all confront. Among the prototypes featured throughout the series include an inflatable car, a six-legged robot that can safely carry a human through any type of terrain, and a waterslide simulator that will provide an amusement park-like thrill ride from the comfort of a backyard.

Combining creative ideas with modern science and state-of-the-art technology, PROTOTYPE THIS! showcases the products and results of ingenuity under pressure. Discover all the fun there is to be had when the world is your test lab!
