AMERICAN NFL LINEBACKER DHANI JONES DROPS HIS DEFENCES AND TAKES ON THE WORLD'S OLDEST SPORTING CHALLENGES
- It's "Game On!" as DHANI TACKLES THE GLOBE -

Dhani Jones believes that in order to truly experience a particular culture, you have to play the games they play. With that in mind, the American NFL linebacker travels the globe to experience some of the world's oldest and most intense sports - while enjoying the food and culture along the way. Whether the sport involves ball, bat, or plain old brawn, Dhani shows that he's game for anything. Come along on an eye-opening adventure as DHANI TACKLES THE GLOBE and discovers a common ground in the universal love of sports.

An NFL linebacker, fashion entrepreneur, environmental philanthropist, community volunteer and all-around Renaissance man, Dhani Jones merges two of his greatest passions - travel and sports - in this brand new series. In DHANI TACKLES THE GLOBE, Dhani embarks on a global sports odyssey that will take him anywhere with a scoreboard. By trying his hand at beloved national pastimes from around the globe, Dhani discovers how sports shape a culture, and demonstrates the thrills and challenges of each game by playing it himself. He learns the brutal traditional martial art of Muay Thai in Bangkok, takes part in a dragon boat race in Singapore, trains as a surf lifeguard in Australia, tries his hand in a "schwingen" match in the rural Swiss Alps, and dives head-long into all kinds of sporting events across the world.

In each city, Dhani also takes time out to enjoy local scene. Leaving his shoulder pads in the locker room, he checks out the best places to eat, drink, shop... and does whatever it is the locals do for fun! From sheep-shearing and Guinness drinking in Ireland to fox hunting in England to taking ballet lessons in Russia, Dhani discovers it's a whole different ball game off the field!

Will Dhani score a touchdown or will he be left on the bench? Tune in to these exciting episodes to find out:

Thailand
Dhani explores the colourful city of Bangkok, where he will train to compete in Thailand's national sport: Muay Thai. After endless hours of sweaty training, Dhani escapes the boxing ring to experience all that Thailand has to offer.

Switzerland
In the rural regions of the Northern Swiss Alps, local farmers, woodchoppers and cheese makers challenge Dhani to a "schwingen" match. Dhani is exposed to a tradition that brings him face-to-face with some of the best "schwingers" in the country.

England
Dhani joins England's oldest rugby club and endures merciless practices prepping him for his rugby debut. From fox hunts to finding the perfect suit, Dhani finds himself riding on an amusing but traditional English adventure.

Singapore
Dhani travels to Singapore and takes on the 2,000-year-old sport of dragon boat racing. After a practice with members of Singapore's national team, Dhani gets an official seat with the American Dragons team in time for the country's biggest race event - The Annual Singapore Dragon Boat Festival.

Spain
Dhani is introduced to the 400-year-old obsession of Northern Spain: jai alai, a sport dubbed "the game of dodging death" and "ballet with bullets". This court game features a rock-hard ball ricocheting at nearly 200 miles per hour, fast enough to shatter bulletproof glass.

Ireland
Ireland's hurling team invites Dhani to participate in this fast, bloody and brutal stick and ball game. Hurling is known as the sport of the everyday Irishman and Dhani struggles to grasp the basics of the game - in between sheep-shearing and Guinness- drinking revelry.

Australia
It takes more than just a Speedo to become an Australian Surf Lifesaving champion. In and out of the ocean, Dhani must prove his strength, endurance, agility and love of the surf to the Aussie locals and lifeguards.

Cambodia
Kickboxing, fried tarantulas, contortionists and snake feeding all make Dhani's adventure to Cambodia an unusual and unexpected experience. In a small, dark gym with a trainer who pushes him to the limits, Dhani learns the ancient martial art of Pradal Serey (Southeast Asian kickboxing).

New Zealand
Dhani visits Auckland on a quest to conquer the sea as the next great kiwi sailor. In the City of Sails, he has just one week to work his way onto an America's Cup yacht and take the ultimate test in an actual Team New Zealand tryout.

Russia
Russia welcomes Dhani not only with homemade vodka, but also with the chance to become a true Sambo fighter. Sambo, the art of self-defense without weapons, proves to be a complex and challenging sport for Dhani. To prepare, he takes ballet lessons and visits a Russian military base to become an inspired and coordinated fighter.
